Animal Abuse Man Arrested For Live Streaming Footage Of Cat Torture On Facebook Live
A Staten Island man battered and starved his neighbor’s cat Chester and thought it would be a good idea to broadcast it on Facebook Live.
The sadistic video, posted June 29, shows 21-year-old Tyrike Richardson dropping a chair on the unsuspecting feline while another clip shows him waving a butcher’s knife in its face as the frightened cat tries to bat it away.
Tyrike Richardson, shirtless and wearing blue Tommy Hilfiger underwear, is shown in the video tossing Chester, threatening the animal with a knife, hitting it repeatedly with a chair, and jabbing it hard with a broom handle, viciously twisting the handle into its fur.
At first Chester, 2, hisses in defiance as Richardson slaps the helpless animal with the knife in a debris-covered South Beach apartment, but later appears unconscious and near death.
The cat suffered unspecified serious injuries, police said.
Richardson, 21, was arrested Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and charged with aggravated animal cruelty and starving the cat, officials said.
Richardson was charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal, a felony, and misdemeanor charges, police said.
Cops later led him out in handcuffs from the 121st Precinct stationhouse to court for his arraignment.
Richardson has been arrested 12 previous times, including a bust for sexual contact with an underage girl in 2016.
